This is the most inexpensive airbed in the Ozark Trail Air Mattress family and I’ve seen it go for as little as $15.88 at Wal-Mart online. As the headline indicates it is listed as the Ozark Trail Velour Top Twin Airbed. While this bed is inexpensive it is by no means “cheap”. This airbed has a velour top that should prevent you from having a slippery night’s sleep as well as keeping your sheets in place. The sides and bottom of the airbed are constructed of durable PVC.
While this is listed as a twin sized airbed and could (in theory) accommodate two adults I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re both a little smaller than average. Now if you want to spend the night sleeping really close with someone, breaking this puppy out could be a good strategy. Rrrrrowww!
The bed will accommodate standard twin bed sheets and weighs around 6 pounds so while it’s no feather weight it could conceivably be carried on a backpacking trip. The bed boasts a 600 pound capacity so if you want to go ahead and have that extra slice of pizza before settling down for the evening, go ahead, this airbed can handle it.
This model is more ideally suited for sleepovers of two to three nights max. Because as old Ben Franklin famously said, fish and guests do smell after three days. If you’re visiting someone and they still have you sleeping on one of these after three days, the message should be clear. We love you… but move on.
Bottom line is that this is an amazing deal for the price. It will be a good solution for a night or few but for extended use you will need to look a little further.
