Intex is one of the biggest airbed marketing and manufacturing companies around. They have a broad range of airbeds that will cover your camping air mattress needs as well as in home airbeds. I’ve recommended one particular model of theirs as top airbed in the folding airbed category and will make a few Intex air mattress picks here as well.
Camping Mattress
If you’re headed outdoors there is without question an Intex air mattress that can meet your requirements. They have models that have pumps that will work in those situations where electricity is limited or even non-existent as well as offering airbeds that go anywhere from your standard PVC airbed on up to laminated camping air mattresses that are up to 120 times more puncture resistant than a regular airbed. Here is a quick rundown:
Let’s start with the toughest Intex air mattress in the group; the Super-Tough Bed. This bed uses 18.4 gauge vinyl top, sides and bottom with thick gauged beams and even thicker pillar beams at 29 gauge. That’s some serious heft. This bed comes in twin and queen sizes. Some models come with a rechargeable 120 volt a/c pump and others with the bellows foot pump so make sure you check to see which one you’re getting.
The next camping air mattress comes at a great price and in my opinion greater portability. The Intex Queen Prestige Downey Airbed. If you were to open up everyone’s tent in a campground this is an airbed that I bet you’d see pretty frequently. This airbed has a flocked top that will keep you from slipping and sliding all night and it’s also waterproof. It has a 3 in 1 air valve with an extra wide opening to make setting up and breaking down camp quicker than you’d think. It comes with a 4D pump that allows you to pump up and deflate quickly and it can also be used on other inflatables. Check it out here
Home airbed
When it comes to indoor airbeds Intex has some of the best available on the market. In fact I’ve ranked the Comfort Frame airbed as one of the best available on the market period and many reviews agree so let’s look at this one first.
The Comfort Frame Intex air mattress. This bed is one of the most comfortable and stable on the market and can reliably used as a permanent sleeping solution. The frame of the bed provides stability and firmness that other beds cannot match. The top is finished with a soft velvetaire flocking and even a headboard that can be used for reading or watching TV on your way into sleepy land. Check out the reviews on Amazon or anywhere else, this many satisified customers can’t be wrong.
The last Intex air mattress that I’m going to cover in this article is the Intex Rising Comfort Raised Airbed. I like all of the beds I’m reviewing here but this brings something to the table that the others do not and something that can make a difference. Memory Foam. Having this on top of your airbed can make a lot of difference. It’s not necessary but the insulation, softness and “real bed” feel that it can provide is worth considering. This airbed also has a built-in electric pump along with firmness adjustment buttons and a weight capacity of up to 600 pounds so your thanksgiving guests can have that extra slice of pumpkin pie.
